There's this fun challenge. I don't really take selfies as much anymore...but! I've been wanting Soh's mask forever!

I was originally using a cutout version I made myself but wasn't too happy with it.

Anyway, here are the renders for photos!

Looking at Yoshiro here made me realize how the character designer chose colors that are in Yoshiro's color palette. Everything harmonizes so perfectly!

Of course, I had complaints!

Why no 'Shy Yoshiro accepting my sweets' render???

 So, this was met with...mixed feelings. Some felt this made no sense for Kunitsu-Gami. Others thought it was cute. I saw one or two people say they won't buy it now. I don't think they were planning on buying it anyway... But I agree that this type of advertising is awkward. Even inappropriate.

本気でやめて欲しいです。

元の世界観がとても美しいゲームなのにその魅力をもっと語らずして、世界観ぶち壊すのは本当にやめて欲しいです。

少し前の投稿ではゲーム作成の裏側などが知れてとても嬉しかったのに突然このような形の宣伝をなさってとても恥ずかしいことだとおもいます。(X)

I browsed the Japanese comments and agreed with this person.

The marketing is detached from the theme and style of the game. The puppet show they put on was more in line with the game's aesthetics. The script had incredible moments, especially Soh's introduction.

But I guess it still isn't selling well...

Are they trying to appeal to...'zoomers'? I don't think that generation will appreciate a game that has barely any talking.

I'm just happy to see the pair dancing lol

Kunitsu-Gami's new art: Is that Nanamagari?

It certainly reminds me of it.

The Spirit Stone turned into a Seethe behind the Spirit Stone Maiden, signalling her body's fate in the next cycle.

This art is very oddly put together. It's possibly two different drawings collaged as Soh's placement cuts into Yoshiro. 

They should've centered Soh, like in this one:

Soh should always be centered, to look as if originating from the Maiden. Since lore-wise, she does. Just not the current Maiden.

Even here, Soh's flower blooms from the Maiden's head. Centered. 

I'm glad we have more art though. What about that artbook, Capcom?

After finishing this post(but not yet posting it), the Kunitsu-Gami twitter posted comments from the artists:

Sects is 'Sohs' and 'generations' is Yoshiros

Behind her is her defiled body, which turns into Nanamagari. Before her is what her soul becomes: the next Soh, to guide the next Maiden...

(On twitter I said this better: Her spirit becomes the next Soh, her defiled body the next Nanamagari)

Kunitsu-Gami's New Pricing + thoughts on its missed potential with the 8 cycles.

Kunitsu-Gami seems to have undergone a permanent price-drop.

My thoughts:

1. Won't this encourage people not to buy games at launch? 
2. Doesn't this give the impression the game is so bad, they had to permanently mark it down?
   Doesn't it imply the company itself lost faith in its value?

Such things aside...

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is coming to Nintendo Switch 2!

It'll be on 5 June, the same day the Switch 2 releases!

A new mode called Otherworldly Venture(畏界遷宮（いかいせんぐう)）will be included. The rest of us will receive the update on our respective platforms. 

No PS5 Collectors Edition yet? No other merchandise...?

Hopefully we'll get more stuff soon.

I was saving up for an OLED so I guess that's on hold. 

But the problem here is...it's not good to buy a new console on release day. Usually you want to wait a year because there are often faults/bugs in the console and it gets upgraded with new releases.

Anyway, isn't it wonderful?
