For the boss, it's colored red.
Once defeated, it becomes an individualized icon representing the Seethe.

The base symbol is Yoshiro.

Once you fully upgrade a base, the symbol is the Goddess with the Maiden symbol at the top of the Torii gate. The 'flaps/wings' of the icon are spread out.

There's also this little Yoshiro that appears after you upgrade a base.
It resembles this kind of art.
Or so I thought. After image-searching on my computer instead of phone, I stumbled across this.
This seems to be the inspiration? I don't understand what the blog post is about though. The translation doesn't help much...
