Little detail in the Emaki Scrolls.

In the Pestilence scroll, there's a little girl looking at her mother with her eyes closed.

In Soh under the moonlight, Yoshiro looks at Soh with her eyes closed.

Could the little girl be Yoshiro?

In the beginning, Yoshiro said if she offers herself to the Goddess, people will have prosperity again. It might be because she saw first-hand what happened to her family.

Perhaps it's also a hint that the Maiden merged with Soh is an ancestor of hers.

Or is the pose meant to imply Soh, as the Goddess, is her 'mother'?
